Bookworm Program 2014 (Education Sponsorship Program)

August 20, 2014

In the beginning of every academic school year, we receive many applications for our Bookworm Program from needy students in the community. Working with the management of two primary schools, we interview parents, visit their families and discuss with teachers about the actual needs of each student. As Fiji government provides free education this year, we have diverted our fund to giving school supplies instead of school fees. Up to early April, the sponsorship for 81 students came to FJD2,240. They received workbooks, exercise books, uniforms and stationery items. We are happy to make a difference to many school kids.
